The inner lining of this UV sunshade helps protect your face from UV rays by minimising the sun's reflection off light-coloured ground and surfaces, such as water or sand.

It's lightweight, compact and easy to slip into your bag or tote bag. The practical vents on this UV protection umbrella give you a bit of fresh air and reduce wind resistance.

And if the weather changes and it rains a little, you can even use it as an umbrella! Supplied with storage pouch.

What does UPF 50+ mean?

This product is UPF 50+ certified.

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor. It is an index measuring the ability of a fabric or material to filter out ultraviolet rays. The UPF 50+ index is the highest UV protection certification, according to European standard EN 13758-1. An UV protective garment with UPF 50+ certification blocks over 98% of UV rays, protecting your skin from possible burns and lesions.

By way of comparison, a cotton summer t-shirt often has a protection factor of around UPF 5. This means that 20% of UV rays pass through the fabric, which is a lot for someone who has to stay out of the sun or is exposed to it for long periods of time.

Produit très utile, très bien isolé et ventilé ! à la mode antillaise ! Les femmes ont en effet l'habitude se de protéger du soleil avec un parapluie, là où le soleil est très fort, aux Antilles. A nous de prendre cette bonne habitude. Couleur et design sympa, ne prend pas de place. Top !

Produit de mauvaise qualité. Baleine cassée dès la deuxième utilisation. La tige de l'ombrelle est instable. Les coutures de mauvaises qualité. Produit décevant pour le prix payé.

Le produit ressemble plus à un parapluie qu'à une ombrelle, donc double fonction. Je l'utilise pour me protéger du soleil, je me sens plus en sécurité en dessous, il coupe aussi la chaleur, ce qui est fort agréable. L'ombrelle est vraiment de qualité, je suis contente d'y avoir mis le prix. Le système d'ouverture/fermeture est costaud, les tiges sont solides, il devrait durer dans le temps...
