Columbia has innovated and improved its Silver Ridge UV shirt with a lighter fabric for more comfort, but also by using recycled materials.
This UPF50+ certified shirt will guarantee you a perfect sun protection.

Roll-up sleeves
UV-resistant fabric (maximum certification UPF 50+) suitable for everyday and sporting activities. Blocks over 98% of UV rays.
Composition: 100% recycled polyester
Machine wash at 30°C maximum. Wash with similar colors. Do not use fabric softener. Do not use bleach. Line-dry or tumble-dry at low temperature. Iron cold. Do not dry clean.
Fabric not designed to resist chlorine and salt water.

This product is UPF 50+ certified.
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor. It is an index measuring the ability of a fabric or material to filter out ultraviolet rays. The UPF 50+ index is the highest UV protection certification, according to European standard EN 13758-1. An UV protective garment with UPF 50+ certification blocks over 98% of UV rays, protecting your skin from possible burns and lesions.
By way of comparison, a cotton summer t-shirt often has a protection factor of around UPF 5. This means that 20% of UV rays pass through the fabric, which is a lot for someone who has to stay out of the sun or is exposed to it for long periods of time.
